Our current statistics for the last financial year show how many people we can reach with Tsibogang:
- 45 Peer Educators were teaching 3895 learners in 20 schools
- 61 Home Care Givers did 15 637 home visits to 632 chronically ill patients
- 58 Child Care Workers visited 1541 orphans and vulnerable children in their homes
- In our two Early Learning Centres 85 orphans and vulnerable children were educated
- 280 orphans and vulnerable children attended regularly in our five After School Centres
- The Support Group Amogelang for adults living with HIV had 16 members
- The Support for children living with HIV „ A Re Tshamekeng Bana“ had 40 members
It is not certain whether we can continue with our services at this scale in the current financial year. In the month of June alone we received four regret letters from prospective donor organizations. They all assured us how valuable and how necessary our work is but regretted to inform us that they had insufficient means to support us. In view of the increasing financial crisis we would like to emphasize that every euro counts. Even if you can only afford a small amount this can have a huge effect.
- With 12 Euro you can ensure that one child can attend one of our After School Programs for one month and can receive a warm meal daily.
- With 90 Euro we can send one of our peer educators to a school for one month for teaching HIV prevention strategies
- With 30 Euro you can ensure that 20 orphans or vulnerable children are visited in their homes
- A food parcels that supplies a family with the basics for one month costs 17 Euro
