Godisang (Bring up!) is a project of caring for orphans and vulnerable children.
In the eight regions of the project we have registered a total of more than 1400 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Each OVC is visited at least once per months by one of our care givers where they receive psycho-social support, counselling, nutritional education and support, HIV prevention education, assistance to access social grants and other services.
We have established two Early Learning Centres where a total of 95 OVC aged 2- 5 years receive age appropriate education and two meals per day and five After School Projects where a total of more than 300 school going OVC receive one warm meal, assistance in home work, remedial classes, HIV prevention education, biblical teaching and opportunities for sports and creative play. We also have established eight small vegetable gardens where OVC and their families can contribute to their own food security.
